LG G Watch

So I was lucky enough to attend Google I/O and yes I had the chance between the $229 LG G Watch (Black Titan) and the $199 Samsung Gear Live (Black) Watch.

I chose the LG G watch and some people asked me why. Well first off I wanted a bigger battery and I wanted the option to change the band as well. Now some people wanted the heart rate monitor and I have the Polar bands that tell me that I am alive already so I skipped it. I like that it is kinda chunky. I can already hear the howling and gnashing of teeth. So lets say it has a great color bas of either black or white. They were only handing out the black models at I/O so I am still happy with it. The battery lasts all day, as I sent a few texts, a short email, navigated around San Francisco and then used to to navigate back to San Jose.

I did like the functions of:

Take a note…
Remind me…
Show me my steps…
Send a text…
Email…
Agenda…
Navigate…
Set a timer…
Start stopwatch…
Set an alarm
Show alarms
Settings
Start – Compass, Fit, Keep, World Clock

Overall I like the watch. The band sucks rocks. Like it really sucks more than anything I have ever worn. I don’t know what they were thinking but I am going to change it out tomorrow. That is one thing you cannot do with the Samsung Gear Live watch. The LG G watch has a 22mm removable strap so the stock one will die a quick death. There are already screen protectors being sold on the market as of today but they are not shipping for another week. As with all new tech, you have to wait till the rest of the manufactures get ahold of the tech to make the add-ons for it.

I did like that it picked up my voice and I did not have the issues I had back in the day with Siri trying to understand my voice.
